Reduces Pharmacist Labor

PROmanager-Rx™ significantly reduces pharmacist labor associated with non-value-added distributive tasks.

By automating these processes, this system enables pharmacies to increase their clinical practices, including patient monitoring and education.

First, because PROmanager-Rx automates the storage and dispensing of package-ready forms, hospital pharmacies no longer have to manage in-house or third-party unit-dose, bar-code packaging operations. This virtually eliminates oral solid packaging labor and materials cost, and significantly reduces pharmacist checking requirements.

Second, for dispensing, PROmanager-Rx receives patient orders electronically from the Connect-Rx® system. The system reads the patient bar-code label, associates the patient’s information with the Relectronic order, scans and selects the medication, and then delivers it to a patient-specific container, verified by bar-code ID scanning.

In addition, PROmanager-Rx should be eligible for a state’s pharmacy check waiver, because checking of manufacturer-packaged medications are normally not required.
